No, tracking isn't broken. What usually causes that is when a user has the link copied to a clipboard or saved in a file and visits your link directly.
Remember: ebooks & whitepapers are prime places to use klikt links. Use klikt links going to your site and offers. It tells you exactly where your newest traffic is coming from... even months or years after they downloaded it!
So that's why you need to make sure to add a reference in the Link Title or add a parameter in to the destination link that identifies the source, ex: ?utm_source=my_awesome_ebook
Remember, you cannot have spaces in urls. So use a dash, underscore, plus sign "+" (without quotes), or "%20" (without quotes), instead of a space.
